by TRACY STEELE (106), Tournament Committee

IMPERIAL, Pa. — Imperial Lodge 106 is pleased to once again host the SNPJ Western Pa. Invitational Bowling Tournament the weekend of Feb. 16-17 at Paradise Lanes on Neville Island.

The tournament weekend will kick off Friday, Feb. 15, with a button box jam session performed in the Lodge 106 club room from 7 to 11 p.m. Don’t stay up too late on Friday though, because the doubles and singles events will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, with the first shift beginning at 9 a.m. and the second shift beginning at 1 p.m.

On Saturday evening, trade in those bowling shoes for your dancing shoes and join us in the Lodge 106 banquet room to enjoy the music of Casanova. This band performs music from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. The cost per ticket is $10 and everyone is welcome. The ticket includes free draft pivo and hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 7 p.m. A 50/50 drawing and a basket raffle are also planned. Casanova will perform from 7 to 11 pm.

On Sunday morning be ready to start team bowling at 9 a.m.; second shift bowling will begin at 1 p.m. If you haven’t already heard, the Lodge 106 kitchen is up and running and will be offering food for purchase throughout the weekend.

The tournament committee has booked a block of rooms at the Four Points Sheraton located on One Industry Lane. This hotel will provide a shuttle to and from Lodge 106 on Saturday night until midnight. The rate for these rooms will be $59. If you are interested in reserving a room, contact the hotel at (412) 695-0002. Please note that bowling entries are due to Kevin Richards by Jan. 25. If you have any questions regarding bowling or the events being held this weeked, or would like to purchase tickets for Saturday night, contact Kevin Richards at (724) 899-2238 or e-mail kevinsr@atc-pa.com.
