BOROUGH OF SNPJ, Pa. — It’s the time of year when everyone starts looking forward to summer at the SNPJ Recreation Center. One of our most exciting events is Slovenefest, the annual festival held every second weekend of July. Slovenefest XXVII is scheduled the weekend of July 11-13.

The spaces in our tent section will be limited. Once the space has been prepaid, it will be closed. The cost this year is $50 per space; only one tent per space is permitted. Whether you stay one day or all three, the cost is the same. One vehicle per spot is permitted, and you may not park near the tent. An assigned spot will be provided. You will be given a pass for your tent and vehicle upon payment for your spot. Please call us at 1-877-767-5732 for availability. All spots must be paid for in advance.

RV trailers will be parked on top of the hill by the old pavilion. The cost of an RV spot is $10 per day and your pass will be sent upon payment. Reservations are needed to ensure a spot and payment must be received in advance. Slovenefest will be here before you know it, so get your favorite spot now!

Don’t forget the April 20 free dance in the Alpine Room. Larry Placek and his orchestra will delight you with their polka and waltz music from 3 to 7 p.m. Our snack bar will be open during the dance serving sandwiches and snacks. Bring along your friends to relax and listen to one of the best orchestras in town. Remember, the price is right — absolutely free! We’ll see you there!
