EUCLID, Ohio — The 2008 SNPJ National Bowling Tournament, hosted by Loyalites Lodge 158, will be rolled the weekend of May 2-4 in Euclid. All bowling activities will take place at the home of the biggest bowling alley in America, Freeway Lanes, 28801 Euclid Ave. in Wickliffe, Ohio.

The weekend kicks off with the Fun ’n Frolic event Friday, May 2, beginning at 7 p.m. On Saturday, May 3, doubles and singles play will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by entertainment featuring Wayne Tomsic from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Slovenian Society Home, 20713 Recher Ave. in Euclid. Team bowling is scheduled Sunday, May 4, beginning at noon. A jam session will follow at the Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sandwiches and sides will be available for purchase at the Home both evenings. Miss SNPJ 2008 Kristy Zivkovich will also make a special appearance.

Out-of-town participants can book lodging at the Comfort Inn, 28611 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, for $65 a night. Contact the hotel at (440) 944-4030 and mention the SNPJ bowling tournament when making your reservation to receive this price. Smoking rooms are available upon request.
