IMPERIAL, Pa. — Hello to all of our friends in SNPJland. We’re waiting for your return! The Recreation Center’s 2009 season will begin with the SNPJ National Bowling Tournament the weekend of May 1-3. The tournament fun starts Friday, May 1, with entertainment in the Gostilna that will continue through Saturday. Fraternal Director Kevin Richards is in charge of the tournament, along with Lodge 776 and the Recreation Center. Register now for the bowling events, and get ready to share in a weekend of good times with your friends.

We are preparing for our Easter celebration scheduled Saturday, April 4. Children ages 1 to 12 are invited to join us. A free lunch for the children will be served at noon; adult guests will be charged $3 each. Register your child by phoning the Rec Center toll-free at 1-877-767-5732. Be sure to include the name(s) and age(s) of your children. The Eastern bunny will pay a visit, and bright colored eggs will be hidden for the children to gather, so be sure to bring a basket. Each registered child will also receive a treat bag.

Happy Valentine’s Day to our trailer park residents! There are only a few more weeks until your return. The Gostilna will be open, serving those great sandwiches and beverages that bring everyone together. Time has been flying by, and it will be good to see you all again.

Our Friday night entertainment schedule is in the works. As soon as I get it, you will too. It was such a hit that we decided to do it again this year.

It’s not too early to purchase your ticket for the Couple’s Reverse Raffle which will be held Saturday, Sept. 5. I’m holding your lucky number (unless you call and release it), so please let us know if you plan to attend the most interesting night of SNPJ National Days. Tickets are $100 and cover the admission of two people. The evening will start with appetizers, followed by dinner, drawings and music to fill the evening. The Reverse Raffle will be held in the Alpine Room and catered by our wedding caterers, Mariann and David Jones. Call me today for more information. See you soon!
