SYGAN, Pa. — Look out, Brothers and Sisters! Lodge 6 will be a happening place in February. Just check out our many upcoming events.
Bingo will be held Wednesdays, Feb. 8 and 22, in the downstairs bar at 7 p.m. At the beginning of each game, you may purchase as many bingo sheets as you would like. The cost is $1 per sheet with four bingo cards per sheet. We play nine regular games, two specials and one coverall.
Stop by Lodge 6 for a Sweethearts Night Out with Outlaw Karaoke Saturday, Feb. 11. Karaoke will begin at 9:30 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled evening and sing that special song to that special someone. Outlaw Karaoke will return to our clubroom Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9:30 p.m to 1:30 a.m.
Youth Circle 36 will bowl at noon Sunday, Feb. 12. Circle Director Bridget has a Valentine’s Day party planned for everyone who bowls. So that Bridget can plan accordingly, please RSVP on the Facebook event at SNPJ Sygan or send an e-mail to snpjcircle36@yahoo.com.
Also on Sunday, Feb. 12, Eddie Vallus and Dick Tady will perform in the Sunshine Room. The doors will open at 1 p.m. and the bands will play from 2 to 8 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door and the kitchen will be open.
The second annual SNPJ Winter Classic Bowling Tournament is almost upon us. All of us at Lodge 6 are excited to bowl with everyone at Lodge 6 and visit with our friends at Strabane, Pa., Lodge 138 too. This is one of those great fraternal weekends that we all love.
On Friday, Feb. 17, the men will bowl doubles and singles at Strabane, and the band LocaL will perform at Strabane from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. On Saturday, Feb. 18, the men will bowl doubles and singles at Strabane. The women will bowl doubles and singles at Sygan, and the Johnny Koenig Band will perform at Sygan from 8 p.m. to midnight. On Sunday, Feb. 19, the men will bowl teams at Sygan and the women will bowl teams at Strabane.
The Pittsburgh Area Jitterbug Club is scheduled to perform in the Sunshine Room Saturdays, Feb. 18 and 25. Check out www.pittsburghareajitterbugclub.com for more information.
Sunday, Feb. 26, brings the Tady brothers to Lodge 6. Dick Tady and Jack Tady will be performing back to back in the Sunshine Room. The doors will open at 1 p.m. and the bands will play from 2 to 8 p.m. Admission is $10 at the door and the kitchen will be open.
Also on Sunday, Feb. 26, is a nine-pin, no-tap singles bowling tournament. There will be one shift of bowling at noon. This tournament is open to the first 48 bowlers to register and pay. Each bowler will bowl four games; the three highest scores will be used. Please see Bob or Margie Wasky to sign up, or for more information. No walk-ins, please. The entry fee is $21 per person and must be paid at sign-up. All winners will be paid the same day.
The Four Townsmen and The Mansfield 5 will be playing in the Sunshine Room Saturday, March 5. Tickets are $20 each and must be purchased in advance by calling Charlotte at (724) 693-9441.
Did you know that our clubroom bar now has new snacks for you to enjoy? Individual cheese or pepperoni pizzas, and plain or cheese-filled soft pretzels are available for purchase every day. Our clubroom opens at 3 p.m. daily and at noon on Sundays. We also have a happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Stop in and say hello, and enjoy a friendly game of pool or darts while picking your favorite songs on our juke box.
