The Slovene National Benefit Society was founded in 1904
to offer affordable life insurance to Slovenian immigrants. In honor of the founding fathers we have retained our Slovenian initials, SNPJ, which stand for Slovenska Narodna Podporna Jednota, meaning Slovene National Benefit Society. SNPJ social and fraternal events were a way to preserve the culture of a homeland left behind and build new friendships in America.

Now open to people of all backgrounds, SNPJ continues to offer a full package of social, athletic and cultural opportunities, along with college scholarships, community service projects and much more. Today, SNPJ is one of America's most progressive fraternal benefit societies, offering a wide range of life insurance and annuity products. Of the 2,000 life insurance companies and fraternal benefit societies operating in America, fewer than 100 have been in business as long as we have.

Driving Directions:
From the airport, take PA-60 South (head toward Pittsburgh) and exit at McClaren Road. Make a right onto McClaren Road and follow to the five-point intersection at the bottom of the hill. Make a left (but not the sharp left) onto West Allegheny Road and follow half way up the hill. The SNPJ Home Office will be on your right side, sharing the driveway with SNPJ Lodge 106. Two brick signs flank the driveway entrance.

From the Parkway West, exit at PA-22/30 West and head toward Weirton, W.Va. Exit at the Imperial exit and stay in the right lane to the stoplight. Go straight through the light onto West Allegheny Road. The SNPJ Home Office is located on the left side of the road.
