SAMSULA, Fla. — The annual Samsula Lodge 603 Tractor Parade, which will run along Samsula Dr. from the Lodge 603 Hall to S.R. 44, will take place Saturday, Dec. 8, at 3 p.m. Entries should start lining up by 1 p.m. After the parade, a lasagna dinner will be hosted at the Lodge by Nancy Bass. The cost of dinner will be $8 for adults and $5 for children.

Don’t forget about the Youth Circle 57 Christmas program Saturday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m. There will be goody bags for those in attendance, and a dinner will follow.

The Halloween at the Hall party for Youth Circle 57 members was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and made it fun for our community.

The haunted house was a scary adventure, and the cake walk was popular as always. The kids played games, everybody won candy and prizes, and the food never stopped coming. The costume contest had many great entries. Thank you to judges Chris and Linda Piercy, and Maryann Christine. Everyone was a winner in the costume contest!

Saturday, Dec. 1, is the Samsula Women’s Club annual bazaar starting at 9 a.m. Booths will be set up with goodies and bake sale items. Breakfast and lunch foods will be available for purchase.

On Sunday, Dec. 2, there will be a benefit for Amanda Tomazin who has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. Unfortunately, her condition was detected too late and her medical expenses are very costly. We want everyone to learn more about the disease as early detection is crucial.

The benefit will start at 2 p.m. Your donation of $15 for adults and $5 for children will include a meal of pulled pork and fried chicken. Many door prizes are still needed, and donations can be dropped off at 236 North Samsula Dr. at the old church building. There will also be a cake walk, so donations of baked goods would be appreciated as well.

All proceeds from this benefit will go toward Amanda’s medical bills and to the Lyme Disease Foundation. So little is known about this disease, and it is more common than people realize. Please come and offer your support!

Lodge 603 meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month. Our next meeting will be held Dec. 4. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and our meeting will follow at 7.
